MISSION
Based on the economic development and employment needs that exist within the region, the Vocational Training and Resource Center will provide opportunities for training and career advancement through quality postsecondary academic and vocational education.

Although the VTRC focuses on training for Alaska Native and American Indian adults, it holds an OPEN ADMISSION policy for individuals of any race, creed, color, nationality or ethnic origin.

The Vocational Training & Resource Center (VTRC) is located in beautiful Southeast Alaska's capital city, Juneau.  We are a State of Alaska authorized postsecondary institution providing vocational and computer training.  Additionally, rental space is available for all your workshops, conferences, seminars, meetings and events.

Vocational courses and workshops range from building construction, oil/heat and hydronics furnace repair (National Oilheat Research Alliance silver and gold certification), PTDI-certified Commercial Driver's License course and ATSSA Flagger Certification.

VTRC provides computer training with fifteen (15) state of the art Athlon-64 computer workstations.  Each unit has 160GB of hard drive space with 1GB of RAM and 17” monitor LCDs. With these upgraded stations, our instructor employs Ziff-Davis Education's Active Learn and LearnPro techniques for all your computer training needs.  Our schedule also includes custom classrooms; these time slots are available for your company's specific computer rental needs.

There are four (4 ) rooms available for rent on a daily basis: a multi-purpose auditorium (can be split into two rooms), a multi-purpose room, and a computer lab.
