Based on the economic development and employment needs that exist within the region, the Vocational Training and Resource Center will provide opportunities for training and career advancement through quality postsecondary academic and vocational education.

Although the VTRC focuses on training for Alaska Native and American Indian adults, it holds an OPEN ADMISSION policy for individuals of any race, creed, color, nationality or ethnic origin.

The Vocational Training & Resource Center (VTRC) is located in beautiful Southeast Alaska's capital city, Juneau.  We are a State of Alaska authorized postsecondary institution providing vocational and computer training.  Additionally, rental space is available for all your workshops, conferences, seminars, meetings and events.

There are a myriad of Vocational courses and workshops: PTDI-certified Commercial Driver's License (CDL) course, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Standards training and ATSSA Flagger Certification.

VTRC provides computer training with fifteen (15) state of the art i-7 computer workstations.  Each unit has two 500 GB of hard drives with 6 GB of RAM and wide-screen 21” LCD monitors. With these upgraded stations, our instructor employs a variety of techniques for all your computer training needs.  Our schedule also includes custom classrooms; these time slots are available for your company's specific computer rental needs.

There are four (4) rooms available for rent on a daily or multiple day basis: a multi-purpose auditorium (can be split into two rooms), two multi-purpose rooms, and a computer lab.
